French Teacher (Supply) November 2024 – January 2025

Aurora Montessori School is a co-educational Montessori private school located in the heart of Aurora, Ontario, on 14 acres of natural conservation lands. AMS delivers robust Montessori programming to students aged Toddler to Grade 8 in a 36,000 sq. ft. facility with multiple state-of-the-art playground areas, an outdoor amphitheatre and outdoor classroom, a gymnasium with a performance stage, and so much more.

AMS is seeking a full-time supply French Teacher (November 2024 – January 2025). Part-time supply work after January 2025 will be available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor of Education and OCT registration or equivalent and/or Montessori (MACTE or AMI) Diploma
o Qualifications and demonstrated passion and ability to teach French to students in Grades 1-8
o Strong oral and written French language skills
o Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
o Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Work collaboratively within the French Department to plan and deliver an enriched French curriculum following the Ministry of Education and AMS curriculum for students in Grades 1-8
o Facilitate learning experiences that support the individualized learning needs of all students
o Develop a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment that is grounded in AMS’ core values of respect, inclusivity, inquisitiveness, and kindness
o Monitor, provide feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies
