French Teacher – Elementary (Grades 1-6)

Montessori Academy of London seeks an enthusiastic, highly qualified applicant to fill an Elementary French teaching opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time permanent position with a start date of Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. (If the successful candidate could spend some time in the classroom in June, that would be ideal but not required.)

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have:

• An undergraduate degree in French or high level of French fluency.
• Experience teaching children – preferably Elementary level.
• Classroom management skills.
• Experience with curriculum development (plan and develop engaging lessons and activities that meet the needs of all students).
• Montessori Teaching Certification – preferable but not essential.
• Maturity, responsibility, a friendly demeanor, patience.
• A passion for working with children and encouraging their growth and independence.
• A valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Computer skills: experience with Google for Education; online report cards; etc.
• Canadian citizenship or appropriate work Visa or permit.
