Montessori Casa Teacher & School Supervisor

Ancaster Montessori School est. 1984, is seeking an AMI or MACTE accredited Montessori Casa teacher for a Montessori supervisory and teaching position involving a variety of school related tasks in the school building, office and classrooms to begin between April & September 2025.

This is a full-time, contract position, renewable year to year. Contracted hours of work: 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. &/or 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, September to June as per our school calendar, plus some summer weeks. Two weeks off in each of December and March. Attendance at pre-planned school events/meetings/open houses during the school year on a few weekends/evenings.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Montessori Casa Teaching Diploma (AMI or MACTE accredited training)
• Experience working as a Casa teacher/directress in a Montessori school
• Reliable attendance
• A love of children and the Montessori approach to learning
• Effective behaviour management
• Positive, warm, tactful approach
• Effective communication skills (oral and written) in English
• Effective staff management skills
