Whitby Montessori / Lakeridge Montessori School (WMS/LMS) – We are seeking seasoned Montessori Casa Teacher(s) to join our exceptional Team in 2025/2026.

• WMS-Campus: 95 Taunton Road East, Whitby – Founded in 1989: Pre Casa to Renaissance (Elementary) Programs
• LMS-Campus: 3600 Lakeridge Rd, Pickering – Founded in 2015: Bambini to Casa Programs
• Start-Date: Monday/25 August 2025

What is the Role/Job Description of the Casa Teacher?

• Plan and introduce Montessori-based lessons that are developmentally appropriate and encourage the love of learning in children
• Create a prepared environment that is welcoming, organized and fosters independence, concentration, self-discipline, curiosity, and conducive to learning
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom that promotes the Montessori principles of respect for each child’s unique development
• Observe and assess each child’s progress, create individualized learning plans, complete progress/report cards, and participate in parent meetings
• Collaborate with School Administration and fellow Educators to plan/prepare curriculum, Montessori materials, and calendar of events

 What Are We Looking For?

• Education: MACTE or AMI Casa Diploma: Minimum 1-Yr Teaching Experience, preferably in a Montessori environment
• Skill-Set: Communication Skills – strong written and oral Interpersonal Skills – build-relationships with students, school families and staff. Team-Player – collaboration and willingness to contribute beyond the classroom. Computers & Technology – general computer skills, quick-learner
• Soft-Skills: Team-Player, Positive, Professional, Cheerful Personality, Strong Work Ethic, and genuine interest and passion for early childhood education and teaching young children
• Employment Requirements: Criminal Reference/Vulnerable Sector Check, First-Aid & CPR Certification, Medical/Immunizations
