Senior IT Support Analyst Full-Time – Start Date: Immediate

Aurora Montessori School is seeking a Senior IT Support Analyst to join our growing team. Aurora Montessori School is a co-educational Montessori private school located in the heart of Aurora, Ontario on 14 acres of natural conservation lands. By adhering to the core principles, philosophies, and pedagogy of Dr. Maria Montessori, we are devoted to each child’s intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical development.

The successful candidate will support our faculty and administration with a variety of technologies, enjoy assisting end users and are eager to learn new technologies that will enhance our students’ learning. Applicants with experience in Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems and Enrolment Management Systems will be considered first. They will report directly to the Principal and Director of Technology, and will work with the ICT teacher cooperatively.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a support analyst or a similar role.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
  • Self-starter with high energy, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to multi-task
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C
  • Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and manage network, firewalls, endpoint protection software, security camera systems, printers, and IP phone equipment
  • Record, track, and document the details of incidents and requests, including troubleshooting steps and actions taken
  • Create and maintain users in Active Directory, including profiles, policies, and groups, and manage software licensing
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks
  • Support the Edsembli Student Information System, including school information, schedules, data integrity, and system updates
  • Support the Edsby Learning Management System, including course and class setup, user accounts, permissions, and integration with Microsoft 365
  • Support the FinalSite Enrollment CRM, collaborating with the admissions teams to design and implement workflows and automated email communications
  • Monitor the integration of Edsembli with FinalSite and Edsby, to ensure seamless data flow between platforms
  • Document and maintain IT asset inventory reports bimonthly, security incidents and user violations
  • Manage and maintain audio-visual equipment, including projectors, interactive whiteboards
  • Assist the ICT teacher in the Learning Commons during classes and events
  • Participate in the procurement process for new hardware, software, and IT services
  • Support, and publish AMS report cards, coordinating with administration and faculty to ensure data accuracy
  • Provide training and workshops to faculty on using various technology tools effectively
  • Attend and participate in school functions and events as required
  • Supervision of students in classroom, recess/lunch, and extracuricular environments

REQUIRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SIS and/or LMS systems is a highly valued asset
  • Stage audio and lighting experience is an asset
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent education
  • CCNA or equivalent education
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • AD administration
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Exchange administration
  • Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, CONCAT, etc.)
  • Word (Form design and template creation)
  • HTML & CSS The successful candidate will enjoy:
